Like many American outsider-adventurers, Dorian “Doc” Paskowitz set out to realize a utopian dream. Abandoning a successful medical practice, he sought self-fulfillment by taking up the nomadic life of a surfer. But unlike other American searchers like Thoreau or Kerouac, Paskowitz took his wife and nine children along for the ride, all eleven of them living in a 24 foot camper. Together, they lived a life that would be unfathomable to most, but enviable to anyone who ever relinquished their dreams to a straight job. The Paskowitz Family proved that America may be running out of frontiers, but it hasn’t run out of frontiersman.

Plot: The inspiring and tumultuous story of 85-year old surfer, health advocate and sex guru, Dr. Dorian "Doc" Paskowitz, his wife Juliette, and their nine children who were all home-schooled and raised in a small camper on the beach, where they surfed and had to adhere to the strict diet and lifestyle of animals in the wild.

"Surfwise" is a lively documentary that delves into the life of legendary Malibu surfer Dorian 'Doc' Paskowitz. A successful doctor, Paskowitz 'dropped out' of normal society in the 1960s and traveled to Israel , where he is credited as having introduced the sport of surfing. He went on to raise nine children (eight of them boys) in a cramped motor home, home schooling all of them in the ways of health and fitness, sexuality, and above all surfing. This is their family's story-one that needs to be seen to be believed.

Ready to greet Hannah with a surprise bouquet of flowers once she returns home from a business trip in Scotland, Tom soon discovers that Hannah is the one with a surprise: a Scottish fiance named Colin McMurray (Kevin McKidd). When Hannah drops the bombshell that she is engaged, she also asks Tom if he will be her Maid of Honor. Tom accepts, but has a difficult time keeping his feelings for Hannah underwraps, especially when they go "wedding night" shopping. Tom tries to "woo" Hannah before its too late.
